Chicago Thanksgiving for Those Who Prefer to Dine Out

If spending your Thanksgiving slaving away in the kitchen doesn’t quite sound like your idea of holiday fun, you might consider hitting the town for an exciting and unique feast this year.  Leave all of the work to the professionals so that you and your loved ones can just sit back and enjoy the all-American turkey day tradition at one of Chicago’s top restaurants. Benny’s Chop House

When:  Thursday, November 22nd from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Where: 444 N. Wabash Ave.

At Benny’s Chop House, you’ll have Thanksgiving “Benny’s Way.”  This popular steakhouse is taking their reputation for excellence and putting all of that passion into bringing you a fantastic holiday feast.  They go to great lengths to create the finest dishes and experiences in Chicago to keep guests coming back for more. Bistronomic

When:  Thursday, November 22nd from 12:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Where:  840 N. Wabash Ave.

Veteran chef Martial Noguier’s modern French bistro in the Gold Coast is preparing a 3-course prix fixe with vegetarian options for its Thanksgiving guests this year.  Give thanks with your loved ones over dishes like, Duck Confit, homemade Foie Gras Terrine, roasted farm turkey, prime beef short ribs, filet mignon au poivre, vegetarian homemade pumpkin ravioli and bistronomic lemon tart.  This special menu is $65 per person, and you can even order their Thanksgiving menu to go.

Cité

When:  Thursday, November 22nd.  Buffet brunch from 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.  Ala carte dinner from 5:30 – 10:00 p.m.

Where:  Lake Point Tower, 505 N. Lake Shore Dr.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving meal with a stunning view from the top of the elegant Lake Point Tower.  In addition to a brilliant buffet brunch, guests will be treated to live music and 360-degree panoramic views.  This one of a kind menu and holiday experience is $85 per adult and $35 for children 10 and under.

Ditka’s

When:  Thursday, November 22nd all day

Where:  Tremont Hotel, 100 E. Chestnut St.

Treat your loved ones to a 4-course turkey feast at the Tremont Hotel.  Menu highlights include crab bisque, butternut squash, oven roasted turkey breast, smashed red skin potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes, stuffing, country gravy and cranberry sauce, pumpkin cheesecake, and of course, pecan pie.  Adults can enjoy this menu for just $44.95; children 12 and under are $19.95.

Lockwood

When:  Thursday, November 22nd.  Breakfast buffet from 6:30 a.m. – Noon.  Dinner buffet from 11:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Where: Palmer House Hilton, 17 E. Monroe St., Lobby level

Whether you’re an early-bird who can’t wait to dig into a feast over breakfast, or a more traditional holiday feaster ready for those midday delights, you can gather your loved ones at Lockwood for a traditional Thanksgiving Buffet for all of the house-made fall favorites.  Their culinary team has creatively designed a menu stuffed with seasonal fare, including warm butternut squash soup with candied pecans and cinnamon cream to start. Then, dig into a savory roasted maple honey molasses Tom turkey with rhubarb cranberry compote, chestnut, pistachio stuffing, and traditional gravy to follow!  The breakfast buffet will be served at Potter’s Chicago Burger Bar for $25 per adult and $12 for children ages 6 – 12.  The dinner buffet is $80 per adult, $70 for seniors, and $40 for children 3 – 12.
