Everything You Need to Know About Chicago’s Holiday Train
Everywhere you look, you will begin to see signs of the holidays in Chicago. From holiday jingles playing overhead as you walk through downtown to the emergence of Christmas lights, and more – it’s safe to say that the “happiest season of all,” is truly just around the corner! One of the most obvious signs, of course, is the Chicago Transit Authority’s Annual Holiday Train, and it’s going live on Friday, November 29th.
Chicago Transit Authority’s Annual Holiday Train
You’ll see the holiday train running the rails throughout our beautiful city over the next several weeks, and if you’re worried you’re going to miss it, relax. This is not something that’s easy to overlook. Like the holidays in Chicago, this train is festive, beautiful, and fun, and trust us when we say you’ll know it when you see it. Here’s what to look for:
- This train runs Tuesday through Saturday each week, now through Monday, December 23rd.
- Hours are 3 pm until 7 pm on weekdays and 1 pm to 8 pm on weekends.
- The holiday train is a 6-car train that is adorned with lights, ribbons, candy stripes, and more.
For a full schedule and more details, check out the CTA Holiday Fleet website (which also includes information about the holiday bus, for those who don’t enjoy the train).
